Biographical Information

Infielder Shawn Drinkwater was drafted three times, the last by the San Diego Padres in the 17th round of the 1992 amateur draft and began his professional career that year. He hit .301 with the Spokane Indians his first campaign. He played in the Padres system until 1995, the Seattle Mariners system in 1996 (reaching Triple A for the first and only time that year) and indy ball in 1997. He hit .260/.314/.377 with 27 home runs and 216 RBI in 449 games.
