Biographical Information[edit]
Robert "Scotty" Whitelaw was a college baseball coach.
After graduating from Springfield College and coaching high school baseball, in 1957, he took the head coaching position at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He coached for four seasons recording a 13-48-1 record.
He later went on to become the commissioner of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
