Biographical Information[edit]
Scotty Alcock played major league baseball for the Chicago White Sox in 1914, hitting .173 in 54 games mostly at third base. His minor league career lasted from 1905-1923, and he also managed in 1923 (for the Columbia Comers/Gastonia Comers). Scotty was born and died in Wooster, OH, but he usually played minor league baseball in the South or the West. He hit .350 for the Chattanooga Lookouts in 1909, and late in his career spent four seasons with the Vernon Tigers of the Pacific Coast League (1918-1921). Alcock played over the field defensively, with a number of minor league games at third base, shortstop, second base, outfield, and catcher.
