Biographical Information[edit]

Scott Strickland was a major-league pitcher with a low winning percentage, but with a good ERA which was usually much below the league average. A workhorse, he never started a major league game, and rarely got a save opportunity. His peak years for saves were 2000 and 2001, in each of which he had 9 saves for the Montreal Expos.

He is one of the few major league ballplayers to come out of a college in New Mexico.

In 2010, he pitched in the major leagues for the first time since 2005. In three games with the Florida Marlins, he had a 9.00 ERA.
