Biographical Information[edit]

Scott Proefrock has been an executive.

He began his baseball career as an intern with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1987. In 1990, he moved to the Atlanta Braves in scouting and player development. He joined the expansion Tampa Bay Devil Rays four months after their creation in 1995, as director of baseball administration. He remained there for 11 years before joining the Baltimore Orioles in the same role. In 2008, he became assistant General Manager of the Philadelphia Phillies. He was interim GM when Ruben Amaro Jr. was let go then returned to assistant GM when Matt Klentak was picked as full-time GM.
