Scott Muscat has been a college coach.
Muscat was 25-3 with over 300 strikeouts in high school. Out of college, he was picked by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 18th round of the 1989 amateur draft. Sent to the Helena Brewers, he went 3-3 with a save and a 4.02 ERA, but walked 34 in 53 2/3 innings. In 1990, he had a 4-6, 3.89 record for the Beloit Brewers, issuing 44 walks in 76 1/3 innings. Overall, he had gone 7-9 with a 3.95 ERA in 38 minor league games.
Muscat became head coach of St. Thomas Aquinas College in 2000. He led the team to winning records in 2003 (24-14), 2006 (23-22), 2008 (28-24) and 2009 (25-23) and was up to 44-17 by 2017. He retired after the 2019 season, having won over 450 games there.
