Biographical Information[edit]
Scott Halisky played for the GCL Orioles in 1999, until an elbow injury led to his release. He had been an undrafted free agent and allowed 4 runs and 7 hits in 5 innings of work, leading to an ERA of 7.20, getting no decisions.
He later joined the United States Marine Corps, and served in Iraq. His rank as of 2009 was that of Lance Corporal, and he was a mortuary affairs specialist with the Personnel Retrieval and Processing Detachment, Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Marine Logistics Group. He hoped to return to Organized Baseball upon his return, and practiced while on duty in Iraq, but this did not happen.
