Biographical Information[edit]
Scott Garrelts was signed as a 1st round pick (15th overall) in the 1979 amateur draft by the San Francisco Giants and scout Richard Klaus. His hometown was Buckley, IL. In high school, he once struck out 22 batters in a 7-inning game
On August 20, 1983, he pitched a no-hitter for the Phoenix Giants of the Pacific Coast League. He was selected for the 1985 All-Star Game but did not play in the game
