Biographical Information[edit]
First baseman Scott Cepicky played in the minor leagues from 1989 to 1994, briefly peaking at Triple A in 1993. He is the brother of Matt Cepicky.
He was taken by the Chicago White Sox in the 23rd round of the 1989 amateur draft. After slashing .312/.384/.444 in 1990 and .316/.378/.406 the year before, in conjunction with a .290/.377/.437 line with 33 doubles and 13 steals in 1991, Cepicky was ranked the #8 prospect in the organization by Baseball America going into 1992.
His averaged slipped under .250 the next two campaigns, though he hit 14 and 19 home runs, respectively, and after 1994 he was out of professional baseball.
He hit .267/.348/.415 with 56 home runs and 357 RBI in 637 games over six seasons.
