Biographical Information

Satoshi Kikuchi played for Toshiba in Japan's industrial leagues. He won Bronze with Japan in the 1987 Intercontinental Cup. In the 1988 Baseball World Cup, he pitched for the Japanese national team, going 1-0 with 11 K in 8 1/3 IP but with a team-high 6.48 ERA; Hideo Nomo was next-highest at 4.24. He was also with Japan for the 1988 Olympics, when they finished second; baseball was not yet a medal event.
