Biographical Information[edit]

Sanford Silverstein pitched in the minor leagues from 1948 to 1951. He was 0-8 with a 5.49 ERA in 22 games for the Savannah Indians his first year, but rebounded to go 14-11 with 20 complete games and a 2.10 ERA in 31 games for Savannah in 1949. He then slipped to 3-10 for the Buffalo Bisons in 1950. His statistical record for 1951 is incomplete. He served in the United States military during World War II, pitching for Camp Grant in 1944 [1].
