Biographical Information[edit]
Sandy McDermott played one game as a second baseman for the Baltimore Orioles of the American Association on June 18, 1885. He never came to bat and did not have a fielding chance either.
He had a more consequential career as a umpire, working regularly in the National League in 1890 and 1897, for a total of 126 games, and in various minor leagues at other times.
