The province of San Pedro de Macorís is located on the south (Caribbean Sea) coast of the eastern Dominican Republic. Its capital and largest city is also called San Pedro de Macorís; other cities in the province include Quisqueya, Ramón Santana and San José de los Llanos. It is one of the principal baseball hotbeds in the country and in the world.
