Biographical Information[edit]
Samuel Yeatman was in one game with the Washington Nationals in 1872. He played right field.
Yeatman played in the team's first game of the season, one which was apparently attended by 200 spectators. His birth and death details were confused with an older person with the same last name, William Suter Yeatman, leading to some wrong speculation about his age and other details of his life.
A research site [1] says he played amateur ball since at least 1866.
