Samio Murakoshi (村越 茶美雄)

• Born December 22, 1951 in Shizuoka Prefecture

Samio Murakoshi became a Pacific League umpire in 1976. He worked the Nippon Pro Baseball All-Star Game in 1983, 1989 and 1994 and also worked the 1993 Japan Series. In March 1996, he was one of four umpires sent to MLB spring training as part of a MLB-NPB umpire exchange program.
