Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Sam Bachman was selected by the Los Angeles Angels with the 9th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2021 amateur draft; famously, the Angels selected pitchers with each of their 20 selections in that draft. He was the first player out of Miami University of Ohio to be a first-round pick.
