Biographical Information[edit]
Ryan Scott was drafted out of high school by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 30th round of the 2013 Amateur Draft. He played in seven minor league seasons in the Dodgers (2013-15), Los Angeles Angels (2016 & 2019) and Seattle Mariners (2017-18) organizations, appearing defensively at catcher in 234 of his 264 games. Overall Scott hit .162/.276/.233 and made brief appearances in AAA in 2017 & 2019.
After his playing career ended, Scott returned to the Mariners. He was slated to begin his coaching career as a player/coach with the Arkansas Travelers in 2020 before COVID-19 shut down the minor league season. In 2021 he did fulfill that role with the team. Scott became a full-time coach as a bench coach with the Modesto Nuts in 2022. The Mariners promoted him to manager in 2023 with the Everett AquaSox. For his efforts, Scott was named the Northwest League Manager of the Year. He returned to Everett in 2024.
