Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Ryan Moseley was drafted twice, first out of high school in the 36th round of the 2013 amateur draft by the Tampa Bay Rays, then after attending Texas Tech University, by the Baltimore Orioles in the 8th round in 2016.

After signing with Baltimore, Moseley was assigned to the Aberdeen IronBirds of the New York-Penn League. Pitching 12 times exclusively in relief, he went 0-1, 3.20, giving up 13 hits and 9 walks in 19 2/3 innings while striking out 18. Just as spring training was opening in 2017, however, the Los Angeles Dodgers found themselves in a roster crunch, needing to clear a spot on their 40-man roster for newly-signed free agent OF Franklin Gutierrez. To do this, on February 19th, they sent talented but erratic major league lefthander Vidal Nuno to the Orioles, obtaining Moseley in return.
