Biographical Information

Ryan Klimek attended college from 2009-2013 before trying to break into professional baseball. He started his journey as a business operations intern with the Elmira Pioneers in the summer of 2013. The next year he worked as a MLB video scout with Baseball Info Solutions. He returned to internships for the next three years.

• 2016 Baseball operations intern Los Angeles Angels
• 2017 Player development intern Baltimore Orioles

All of the above jobs were seasonal work. In 2018 he gained his first full-time job with the Orioles as a Major League Video/Advance Scouting Assistant, a role he repeated in 2019. Klimek continued to gain greater responsibilities and served as the team's Major League Scouting Coordinator in 2020-2021. In 2022 he moved up to Manager of Pitching Strategy.

In 2023 Klimek was in uniform and in the dugout for games for the first time as the Orioles' Major League Pitching Strategy Coach, a role he reprised in 2024.

Ryan is the brother of Steven Klimek.
