Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Ryan Jamison played in the minor and independent leagues from 1999 to 2004 and in 2006. He was taken by the Houston Astros in the 17th round of the 1999 amateur draft, one pick after utility player Brandon Fahey. He was signed by scout Joey Robinson.

After a ho-hum initial campaign as a starter, Jamison went 8-3 with a 2.10 ERA in 41 games (7 starts) for the Michigan Battle Cats in 2000 and 9-4, 2.83 in 19 games (17 starts) between two clubs in 2001. In 2002, he split the year between the Astros and New York Mets systems, before joining the independent ranks in 2003, 2004 and 2006.

Overall, Jamison went 34-23 with a 3.70 ERA in 151 games (68 starts) over seven seasons.
