Biographical Information

Ryan Hunt began his college baseball career at the University of South Carolina Aiken in 2015 but transferred to the University of Charleston after one season. He graduated from Charleston in 2018 with a degree in accounting. He then enrolled in Charleston's MBA program and worked with the baseball team as a graduate assistant coach for the 2019 season.

In June 2019 the New York Yankees hired Hunt for a defensive coach position with the Pulaski Yankees in the now defunct Appalachian League. He was scheduled for the same role in 2020 with the Charleston RiverDogs prior to COVID-19 shutting down the minor league season. Hunt worked as the Tampa Tarpons defensive coach in 2021.
