Biographical Information

Ryan Howard was a college coach. Howard became head coach of his alma mater, Avila, in 2002 at age 24. He was not the most notable baseball player named Ryan Howard to appear for a Missouri college in 1999 - so did future NL MVP Ryan Howard. He topped 300 wins near the end of 2011, his final season in that role. He won the Heart of America Athletic Conference Coach of the Year award in 2004, 2008 and 2010.
