Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Ryan Ewin played in Atlanta Braves system from 2000 to 2003 and for the independent Washington Wild Things in 2004.

He was taken by the Braves in the 39th round of the 1999 amateur draft out of high school. Despite a better-than-league-average 3.31 ERA his first year, he was 0-7 between two clubs. He improved to 2-2 in 2001, though his ERA rose to 4.76, in 39 2/3 innings, and in 2002, he went 1-1 with a 1.65 ERA in 6 games (3 start) for the GCL Braves. He joined the Single-A Rome Braves in 2003, going 5-4 with a 2.38 ERA in 16 games (7 starts). Despite two impressive campaigns in a row, the Braves let him go and he joined the Wildthings for 2004, going 9-2 with a 5.38 ERA in 17 games (15 starts) to finish his career.

In the Braves system, he was 8-14 with a 3.14 ERA in 46 games (29 starts). He was 17-16, 3.85 in 63 games (44 starts) overall. His K/9 IP ratio was 8.3.
