Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Ryan Arrowood began his professional career in 2012 after being taken in the 28th round of the 2012 amateur draft by the Colorado Rockies. The scout was Jesse Retzlaff.

He had success his first campaign, posting a 4-3 mark with a 2.61 ERA in 20 games (5 starts) for the Tri-City Dust Devils; in 51 2/3 innings, he allowed just 38 hits while striking out 55. Between 2013 and 2014, he went 13-2 despite showing poor control over three walks per nine innings) and a diminishing strikeout rate. He reached Triple A for the first time in 2015 and returned to that level in 2016 before being released in May.
