Biographical Information

Rusty Thompson has been a college coach.

Thompson was an All-Conference 2B at Bethel College and set school records for career average (.350) and hits in a season (72) as well as saves in a season (11). He was assistant coach at Bethel from 2000-2007 then went 107-82 in his first four years as head coach there.

Thompson's brother, Nick Thompson, played in the Chicago Cubs' chain in 2005-2006, and has been pitching coach for Bethel since 2008.
