Biographical Information[edit]
Russ McNickle is a college coach.
McNickle was a graduate assistant at Mississippi State in 1989 and 1990. He was an assistant at Central Florida Community College in 1991-1992 then assistant coach at Florida Southern College from 1993-1998, taking the national title in 1995.
McNickle was pitching coach at the University of South Florida in 1999 and 2000. He was head coach of Meridian Community College in 2001, going 38-16. He was back at Mississippi State as an assistant from at least 2004 to 2007. In June 2008, he became head coach of Saint Leo University. He left after 2012 to become a scout for the San Diego Padres. In 2014, he became an assistant coach at the University of Memphis.
