Biographical Information[edit]

Russ Adams was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 1st round of the 2002 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Charles Aliano and made his pro debut that summer. Adams wore number 8 during his time in the major leagues with the Toronto Blue Jays. He saw action as a full-timer but once, appearing in 139 games (122 starts) as the Jays shortstop while batting .265/.325/.383 with 40 extra base hits and 68 runs scored in 2005. The remainder of his big league tenure consisted of 135 games across 3 seasons.
