Biographical Information[edit]

Roy Ritner was a minor league executive.

Ritner was a teacher, reporter for the Pendleton Tribune and bookkeeper at a bank. He went into politics in 1909 and was elected to the Oregon House of Representatives as a Republican in 1915. After two years there, he worked for the Red Cross, helping in France during World War I. In 1919, he was elected to the Oregon state senate, becoming president of that body in 1921. He was president of the Western Tri-State League in 1914. He ran for the U.S. House in 1928 but lost.
