Wyatt Eure "Roxy" Snipes was in one game with the 1923 Chicago White Sox, getting one at-bat but not appearing in the field.
Snipes was born in Marion, SC, not far from the border with North Carolina. He attended the University of South Carolina in 1922-23, his time there overlapping with that of Clise Dudley.
Roxy played his one major league game on July 15, 1923, and also appeared in 20 games for Greenville that year as well as some for Columbia/Gastonia Corners. He continued to play ball in the Southeast for a couple seasons after that.
