Ross Gusky began his professional career in 2011.

Gusky had a 5.56 ERA as a college freshman then 4.34 as a junior. Transferring to Valdosta State, he had a 6-4, 5.93 record his junior season and 8-4, 6.66 as a senior. He signed with the Washington Wild Things for 2011. After 20 games, he was 0-1 with a save, a 3.71 ERA, 31 strikeouts and 21 walks in 34 innings. He began 2012 back with the Wild Things, going 1-2 with a 5.40 ERA and 7 walks in 13 1/3 IP (7 K, 14 H). He was let go and signed with the Austrian Baseball League's Vienna MetroStars.
