Biographical Information[edit]

Ronald Dicicco pitched briefly in the New York Mets farm system as a teenager in 1962. Primarily a relief pitcher, Dicicco appeared on the mound in 5 games for the Salisbury Braves, starting 2 of them and taking the win in 1. Over the course of 14 innings pitched he allowed 17 hits, 7 runs (6 of which were earned), walked 12, and put up a 3.86 earned run average. He also struck out 15 and hit 1 with a pitch. After this he played for the Auburn Mets where he appeared in 5 games, all as a reliever and over the course of 9 innings pitched he allowed 9 hits, 8 runs (only 4 of which were earned), walked 3, and struck out 4. He put up a 4.00 earned run average with them and after that he was done. He did not give up a single home run while playing with either team, though he did throw a total of 2 wild pitches and balked once in his short career.
