Ron Marshall

Ron Marshall was the grandfather of Gavin Marshall and father of Barry Marshall and Keith Marshall. He was with the British national team for the 1971 European Championship (as were his sons). He was a star British pitcher of the 1950s. In 1950, he struck out 109 in 63 innings, including 19 Ks in one game. He pitched against the US Navy in 1958 and a US Air Force team in 1959. He managed Humberside in the 1970s. He managed Britain from 1980-1986, including two appearances in the European Championship B-Pool (third place in both 1984 and 1986) but no trips to the European Championship. He was named to the British Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018, joining his grandson, a 2010 inductee.
