Biographical Information[edit]
Rommel Torres played in 1996-1997 in the Dominican Summer League. He hit .222/.308/.284 for the 1998 GCL Pirates in the Pittsburgh Pirates chain, serving as their most-used catcher. In the 2003 Baseball World Cup, he was 2-for-5 for the Panamanian national team, backing up Julio Mosquera for the Silver Medalists. When Panama won Bronze in the 2005 Baseball World Cup, he was on Panama's roster but did not get into a game.
