Biographical Information[edit]
Roger Slagle's major-league career consisted of one two-inning appearance for the New York Yankees against the Detroit Tigers near the tail end of the 1979 season. He hung on as a pro, battling arm problems, through the 1982 season.
In 1990, Slagle played for the Fort Myers Sun Sox of the Senior Professional Baseball Association. He pitched in 8 games and was 0-1 with a 4.41 ERA when the league folded.
He later became an assistant baseball coach at Frontenac (KS) High School.
