Biographical Information[edit]
Roger Miller pitched for the Milwaukee Brewers in 1974. He had recently turned 20, and was roughly a year older than teammate Robin Yount. He also went 11-5 in 1974 for the Sacramento Solons, where he was a teammate of Gorman Thomas and Bill McNulty, each of which hit over 50 home runs for the team that year. Roger had gone 8-4 for the Danville Warriors in 1973.
He missed all of the 1976 season, then in 1977 he went 8-5 for the Spokane Indians, where he was again a teammate of Thomas.
Miller was born and died in southwestern Pennsylvania and attended high school in the same area. He died tragically at the age of 38 as the result of an accidental explosion while working as a welder in Connellsville, PA.
