Biographical Information[edit]
Roger Bidwell became head coach of the University of Connecticut at Avery Point in 1982 and retired in 2017. He achieved his 1,000th win in 2015 and he had taken the team to the NJCAA Division II World Series a total of six times, 1999, 2004, 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2015. He went 1,007-378-7. He guided future major leaguers Rajai Davis, Pete Walker and John McDonald. Bidwell also coached the Cotuit Kettleers in the Cape Cod League from 1991-1994.
