Rodney Hennon

Rodney Hennon has been a college coach.

Hennon hit .367 in 1992 and led his Conference in hits and runs. As a senior in 1993, he was All-Conference at second base and led the league in hits and runs again. Through 2009, he was first in school history in at-bats. He was then assistant coach at Western Carolina for three years. He became head coach in 1998 and tied the school record with 45 wins and set a conference record with 153 steals.

Hennon then became coach of Georgia Southern University in 2000 and was 409-254-1 over his first 10 seasons. In 2008, his team ranked second in NCAA Division I with 10.3 runs per game, 114 home runs, a .584 slugging percentage and .346 batting average. They set a Division I record with 14 home runs in one contest.
