Biographical Information

Pitcher Rocetto Gordon got into 21 rookie-ball games in the Chicago Cubs organization in 1981 and 1982. He posted a 3-4 won-lost record with a 4.73 ERA. Gordon struck out an impressive 57 batters in 51 1/3 innings pitched -- but he also walked 34 and gave up 55 hits. For the 1981 GCL Cubs, he was 2-3 with a 5.56 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 34 innings. In '82, he improved to 1-1, 3.12 for the same club but walked 16 in 17 1/3 innings. One of his teammates in 1982 was Shawon Dunston.
