Robin Lausén debuted in the Elitserien in 2007 at age 16; he hit .083/.214/.166 in a rough start. In '08, he batted .192/.343/.250 for the Karlskoga Bats but allowed opposing baserunners to steal 24 bases in 25 tries. He also had 10 passed balls in 16 games at catcher. He participated in the MLB European Academy in 2008-2009. He is on Sweden's preliminary 40-man roster for the 2009 Baseball World Cup.
For the 2010-2011 semester/season, Robin enrolled in San Joaquin Delta College, joining fellow Swedish national team member Kristoffer Sjöberg, an incoming sophomore.
