Biographical Information[edit]

Robert Smith was head coach of Greenville College from 1962-1969 and again from 1972-1974, going 141-69-1 overall. He later was president of the United States Baseball Federation in the 1980s and President of the International Baseball Federation from 1981-1993. He oversaw the entrance of baseball as an Olympic demonstration sport and later as a Medal sport.
