Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Robert Koppenhaver played in the minor leagues from 1948 to 1950 and from 1953 to 1954. He was not much in the power department, averaging one extra base hit every 21.2 at-bats, and one home run every 721 at-bats (doubles: once per 27.7 at-bats; triples: once per 103 at-bats), per records available. While playing with the Salisbury Cardinals in 1948, he led the Eastern Shore League with 22 sacrifice hits.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
