Rob Sheppard

Rob Sheppard is a college coach and the son of Mike Sheppard. Both of his brothers have been head coaches at the high school level.
Rob Sheppard hit .278 as an infielder at Seton Hall, graduating in 1992. He became an assistant coach at the American Legion level in 1993. In 1994, he was interim head coach at Immaculate Conception High School. He became an assistant at Seton Hall in 1995 under his father and held that role for nine years, working on recruiting, third base coaching and defensive work. He was interim head coach in 2001 when his father had triple bypass surgery.
In June 2004, he replaced his dad at the helm at Seton Hall. The Pirates were 17 games under .500 in 2006, but 25-25 in 2007 and reached 30 wins in 2008.
