Biographical Information[edit]

Rimp Lanier was drafted in the 37th round of the 1967 amateur draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Lanier led the Midwest League with 99 runs, 132 hits, and 12 triples for the Clinton Pilots in 1968. He also played for the Sherbrooke Pirates in Quebec in 1972 and 1973.

One fan has noted that his last name is an anagram for the last names of players Hal Irelan and Walt Lerian.
