Biographical Information

Ricky Martinez was a minor leaguer for one year. The Detroit Tigers took him in the 40th round of the 1991 amateur draft. He hit .239/.342/.284 in 37 games for the 1992 Niagara Falls Rapids. A utility player, he fielded only .776 overall, with 10 games at SS, 7 at 3B, 7 in the OF, 6 at 2B and 2 at 1B; he fielded under .9850 at all five positions.
