Biographical Information[edit]
In 1989, Rick Lysander played for the Bradenton Explorers of the Senior Professional Baseball Association. He saved a league high 11 games and had an ERA of just 1.17. In 1990, Lysander played for the Daytona Beach Explorers, also of the SPBA. He had 4 saves and a 0.00 ERA in 8 games before the league folded.
His son, Brent Lysander, was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the 16th round of the 2007 amateur draft and played in the minors through 2009.
