Biographical Information[edit]
Rick Heines has been a college coach.
He hit .370 as a high school senior. In junior college, he had a 2.84 ERA and a team-high four saves and 10.76 K/9. [1] Transferring to Purdue, he was 5-3 with a 4.16 ERA as a junior. He had a 4-0, 2.08 record for the Peninsula Oilers that summer. [2] He fell to 6-7, 5.23 as a senior.
Heines was volunteer assistant coach at Purdue in 2008 then was pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Texas A&M-Kingsville. He moved to the same role at Texas Lutheran University then was promoted to head coach for the 2021 season. <ref> TLU bio After three seasons, Heines stepped down. He was then named head coach of University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis for 2024.
