Biographical Information[edit]

Richard Sázavský has played in the Czech Extraliga.

Sázavský debuted with Technika Brno in 2010, going 5 for 16 with a double and a walk at age 16. In the 2010 World Junior Championship, he was 3 for 18 with a double, two walks, steal and three errors for the last-place Czech Republic. He hit .320/.333/.402 with 7 steals in 8 tries for Technika Brno in '11. In the 2011 European Junior Championship, he put on a show, hitting .474/.522/.579 with 8 runs in 6 games. He was 4th in the tournament in average and tied for first in runs. The Czech Baseball Association gave him the Best Prospect award. In the 2012 European Cup, he went 2 for 13 with a double, walk, run and RBI. Both his hits, his run and his RBI all came in Technika Brno's near-upset 5-4 loss to CB Barcelona. He participated in the 2012 MLB European Academy.
