Biographical Information

Richard Maher pitched in the minor leagues from 1944 to 1947. He was 12-12 with a 4.65 ERA for the Roanoke Red Sox in 1944, then 14-7 between two clubs a couple years later. In 1947, his final campaign, he was 11-19 with a 6.13 ERA in 37 games for the New River Rebels; despite his poor showing, he still completed 10 games. Overall, he was 45-47 in 4 seasons; in 686 innings, he allowed 722 hits and 288 walks (1.472 WHIP), while striking out 322 batters.
