Richard Lally is an author who has penned numerous books: Baseball For Dummies (with Joe Morgan), The Wrong Stuff (with Bill Lee, 2007), Bombers: An Oral History of the New York Yankees, Have Glove, Will Travel: Adventures of a Baseball Vagabond (with Bill Lee), Long Ball, No Strikes: What Baseball Must Do to Keep the Good Times Rolling (with Joe Morgan), Pinstriped Summers: Memories of Yankee Seasons Past among others.

He was also editor-in-chief at Baseball Library.
