Biographical Information[edit]
Shortstop Richard Bixby played in the minor leagues from 1941 to 1942 and from 1946 to 1948. Perhaps his best season was 1942, when he hit .298 with 119 hits and 29 doubles in 108 games for the Oshkosh Giants. He hit .270 with 467 hits in 452 games overall.
He managed the Enterprise Boll Weevils briefly in 1948, replacing Dolly Lambert.
He served in the Philippines during World War II.
